The catalog for the June 2022 Ocala Breeders Company Sales of Two-year-olds and race-age horses is now available on the OBS website at obssales.com. Additional entries will be accepted until May 17.
There were 1,059 2-year-olds and 16 older horses listed for sale in three days. Due to the increased size of the catalog, the fabric show has been expanded from five to six and will begin on Monday, May 30 instead of May 31 and continue through Saturday, April 4. June. The daily schedule will be announced after the end of the supplement. All trading sessions begin at 7:30 a.m. ET.
All sales starting at 10:00 a.m. Hips 1 – 374 will go on sale Tuesday, June 7; Hips 375 – 748 will be available on Wednesday, June 8. Thursday, June 9 will include Hips 749 – 1060 plus supplements for 2-year-olds, followed by HRA horses listed as Hips 1151 – 1166, plus HRA supplements.
The rollout and sale will be streamed live via the OBS website as well as the DRF, TDN, BloodHorse and Past The Wire websites.

The horses featured on the catalog cover reflect the exponential growth of the June Sale as a source of competitive horse supply at the sport’s highest levels.

George Krikorian’s Graduate Sales June 2019 War Like Goddess returned to the races last week and passed the million dollar mark in his title defense earnings in KeenelandShares Bewitch (G3T). It was the fifth rating win for the English Channel’s 5-year-old daughter, 9-7-0-1 with $1,079,684 in earnings for coach Bill Mott. Contracted to the June Sale by Hemingway Racing and Training Stables, she was sold for $30,000 after winning eighth place on: 10 2/5 at the lackluster show.
William and Corinne Heiligbrodt graduated June 2019 Yaupon participated in one of last year’s most memorable moments, winning SaratogaForego shares (G1) despite being ravaged many times by Burning flame on the last sixteenth day. It’s the third-placed bet win for the pony by Uncle Mo , the score was 8-6-0-0 with $703,264 in earnings for coach Steve Asmussen. He had the eighth worst result in: 10 apartments before being purchased by East Hickman Bloodstock for $255,000 from Wavertree Stables consignment at the June Sale.
Bella Sofia Wins 2021 Test Share in Saratoga
Michael Imperio, Vincent S. Scuderi, Sofia Soares, Gabrielle Ranch, Mazel Stable Partners, Matthew J. Mercurio, Medallion Racing, Parkland Thoroughbreds and Barry Fowler’s Bella Sofia has two winning stakes to her credit including Saratoga’s prestigious Longines Test Share (G1). Depressed since finishing fourth in Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Sprint (G1), the 4-year-old daughter of Great patriot training at Belmont Park awaiting return action. To date, she has set a 6-4-1-0 record and earned $592,600 for coach Rudy Rodriquez. She was purchased by Sallusto and Albina, Sallusto and Albina’s agents, for $20,000 from sales and junior training shipments after passing the 1/8 round on 10/2/5.
Zedan Racing Stables’ ill-fated graduation date of 2020 in June 2020 Medina Spirit ended his career with a second in-game finish at the Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1), but along the way, he finished first in the Kentucky Derby presented by Woodford Reserve (G1), won by Woodford Reserve (G1) Awesome Again Stakes (G1), and Robert B. Lewis Stakes (G3), placed in four other classified holdings, set career records 10-5-4-1 and earnings of $3,545,200 for coaching Coach Bob Baffert. A two-time OBS graduate, he was sold as an aspirant by Summerfield (Francis and Barbara Vanlangendonck), representing, acting on behalf of rancher Gail Rice, for $1,000 as an aspirant, which was later purchased for the price. $35,000 from Whitman Sales consignment at the June 2020 Sale by Gary Young, on behalf of Zedan Racing Stables after he won three-eighths in: 33 units at the under tack show.
