Northwestern Memorial Picks Howard Chrisman As New CEO
Chrisman holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University, a Medical degree from SUNY Upstate College of Medicine, and a Master of Business in healthcare administration from the University of Colorado.
Northwestern Medicine operates 11 hospitals and employs 33,000 employees, 4,400 of whom are physicians, according to its website.
The healthcare system is the second-largest healthcare system in the region by revenue in 2020, according to Crain data. It reports more than $5.57 billion in 2020 net patient revenue and $293 million in net profit.
Harrison is one of the highest-paid hospital system CEOs in Chicago. He was paid more than $7 million in 2019, according to Northwestern Memorial Healthcare’s most recent filing with the Internal Revenue Service.
