Nissan Z may have retro grille design option


NISSAN looks set to bring back the classic design option z sport car.

Nostalgic Japanese car reports that the split grille design on display at the Tokyo Auto Salon will become a factory option on cars in Japan in 2023.

The new look further embodies the nostalgic theme set forth by the latest Z, with a split grille design inspired by the Fairlady Z432R – the highest performance version of the car known as the 240Z. locally.

For comparison, the regular car has a tall and wide front grille.

Sales of the Z are now exactly unchallenged by the user interface.

In Australia, the wait is up to 12 months and – as of January – there are more than 1200 orders awaiting delivery.

“The exciting thing about Nissan with the car is that the customers who put their hands on it and expressed an interest were absolutely passionate about it, and [they] Nissan Australia chief executive Adam Paterson said: “I understand how the manufacturing process works not that 1000 cars are produced one month and then none the next month.” CarExpert.

The six-speed manual transmission is adapted from the one used in the 370Z, with a heavy-duty Exedy clutch and rev-matching system that eliminates the need to step on heels. A nine-speed automatic is also offered.
