Nikon Releases Nikkor Z 28mm F2.8 Not ‘SE’: Digital Photography Review

Nikon has officially released the Nikkor Z 28mm F2.8 – a non-‘SE’ version of the lens we’ve been fans of for a while. Literally the only difference between this version and the previously released ‘SE’ version is aesthetic. The new lens is housed in a sleek, modern-style matte black plastic barrel, as opposed to classic style ‘SE’.

Formal form

So does the glass, which means we expect the same great overall performance from a lens that will pair beautifully with the recently released Z 40mm F2. The Nikkor Z 28mm F2.8 will be available next month for $299.95. Check out our sample gallery from the optically identical ‘SE’ version below.
