In October last year, at least two traditional rulers were killed by gunmen who opened fire on a meeting of traditional rulers in the Njaba region. And in May this year, security forces killed at least six suspected members of Ipob after they allegedly tried to attack a traditional ruler’s palace in Orlu, Imo state.
