NieR Automata Secret Church Likely to Be Discovered
Five years after release NieR Automata, it looks like the game might still be hiding some secrets. An anonymous player may have discovered a secret church in NieR Automata, hidden in the Clone City area of the game. That is, of course, if the claim can be verified and it doesn’t turn out to be a hoax or an elaborate hoax.
A complicating factor is that only a single anonymous player can access NieR Automata secret church. This area is said to be hidden behind a wall in the Copy City. A player named “sadfutago” posted this NieR Subreddit board Ask about the requirements to access the area is not clear. Most of the respondents did not believe that not at all Copied City buildings are accessible. Sadfutago posted a video of the area, which revealed a previously unknown hidden door. Commenters were split between calling the video fake and investigating the claim.
More prestige for NieR Automata The church’s undercover investigation comes from Lance McDonald, a modder and player who is said to have discovered the alleged game “The Last Secret” cheat code in 2021. McDonald said that Automatic data the modding community is “confused about this discovery” and that it is “still unmodifiable” NieR Automata in the way shown in the secret church video. McDonald’s statement lends credence to the fact that the secret church is a hidden area or created with tools that is not yet accessible to the wider modding community.
Someone randomly posted a video on the Nier Automata subsite showing they found a secret room in the Clone City. So far no one else has figured out how they managed to make this secret door appear. Literally 1 person on earth has access to this room and we are absolutely amazed pic.twitter.com/g7W4JxiNDg

One complication is that no one other than the original poster has been able to visit the area yet. Players and modders are still investigating the new ways of playing the game and the tricks that have become known to the community, but so far no one has succeeded in accessing the church. Some have appeared detailed analysis showing that the region could be an elaborate hoaxalthough even these debugging efforts have not yet clearly distinguished how such a mod could be made in the absence of developer-level tools or access.
Even high level NieR Automata Developers such as Yoko Taro and Yosuke Saito have commented on this issue. Saito tweeted about it, calling it “Eternal Mystery“. For his part, Yoko Taro directs people to his Twitter profile, which states that he is “unable to reply on any products”, showing a lack of interest in confirming or disavowing. NieR Automata secret church rumors.
All this gave rise to another theory: It was the secret church that was New sadfutago’s content and discovery it’s a guerrilla marketing work, for the upcoming Switch version of NieR Automata or maybe some kind of update, rework or rework of existing versions. This corner hinters point to sadfutago’s history as an account on Reddit: It’s only used to post about NieR Automata secret church. Furthermore, their handle can be a reference to the perennial NieR characters Popola and Devola, twin brothers sad. Furthermore, the altar at the church contains references to Devola and Popola, as well as NieR Replicant Yonah character.
New content on an older game is not a new arrival for NieR Franchising. NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139…., “upgraded release” of the original NieRcontains new content, such as a collection of stories.
NieR: Automata immediately available on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One. A Nintendo Switch port will launch on October 6, 2022.
