NFL Knockout Scenarios for Patriots, Cowboys, Packers, Buccaneers in Week 15

There were three teams with playoff-cliching scenarios playing for NFL teams in Week 14. Neither team was able to capitalize on those opportunities.

As such, the 2021 NFL playoff race is still wide open, but things can change quickly in Week 15. There are currently seven teams with a chance to lock in playoff spots. Four titles are likely, as the Titans, Packers, Buccaneers and Cowboys all stand a chance of ending things – if some other game breaks their way.

The Packers and Buccaneers have the simplest routes to clinging to a post-season landing. They just need to win and they are present. The Titans could be in the same boat – awaiting the results of Saturday night’s Patriots-Colts game.

Overall, AFC still seems a bit more open-minded than NFC. Only two AFC teams have specific scenarios this week after none the previous week. One of those teams is the Patriots, and the road to a playoff spot this week is, well, complicated. So we are more likely to see the playoff picture become clearer in the NFC this week while chaos may still reign for another week in the AFC.
