New research rankings Los Angeles & Portland are among the top 20 cities with the best food

A discussion that never gets old is which city has the best food. In a new study, the top 20 regions that make it to the list of cities with the best food might surprise you.

According to Wallethub, boot (Louisiana) and MS made the top 20 of the best dishes – as many people suggest in online chat.

New Orleans has some of the best food in America. Take me back there, please.

Number one is Portland, OR; 5 is Austin, TX, and Las Vegas is 9. Portland, ME is 17, New York is 18, Charleston, SC is 19, and Oakland, CA is 20.

If you don’t think Louisiana/Mississippi has the best food, you’re clearly in the wrong place. We can take you to several corner shops, gas stations and hole-in-the-wall to bring you one of the best meals you’ll ever have.

Even Los Angeles made the list, coming in at number 15.

According to a press release, “more than 180 of the largest US cities across 29 major indexes. The data set ranges from the affordability and accessibility of high-quality restaurants to food festivals per capita to craft distilleries and wineries per capita. “

New Orleans is number one and Gulfport, MS is 172nd on the list.

Additionally, Orlando, FL has the most restaurants per square foot of the population, and the most ice cream and frozen yogurt stores.
