The council has decided on its wardrobe. Hololive Council, Second generation Hololive English The VTuber team, received a new outfit to celebrate the new year. In keeping with the Japanese custom of wearing traditional clothes during New Year celebrations, the new outfits have taken the form of the Japanese kimono. Ceres Fauna, Nanasi Mumei, Hakos Baelz, Tsukumo Sana and Ouro Kronii, revealed their new kimono looks to Hololive Council fans on January 15, 2022. Holomyth showed off their on January 9, 2022.
The artists and cheerleaders responsible for the Hololive Council’s new kimono also promoted their work going live, with Tweets and material shared from each performer’s stream under the hashtag # HoloENKimonoRelay (“relay” refers to a stream of collaborations with other Hololive English members). New kimono avatars, animated with Live2D technology and sporting new features, modeled after “furisode” (“sleeves up”), a kimono style with long, pleated sleeves, a style wear by young women.
Artist @tou_ilie rigging (Live2D animation adaptation) Tsukumo Sana’s kimono, based on designs by Sana’s character designer pako. Her planet-themed hair ornaments transition lower into braids, with new planetary decorations on the ice. Incorporated into the outfit’s motifs are stars, rabbits and crabs, themed with Sana’s astrological motifs.

Nanashi Mumei’s New Year’s kimono designed by artist Felucca, with a base pattern created by the model rariemonn and designed by illustrator Azure. The new design features a new shorter hairstyle and a feathered beret. The kimono itself is more delicate, featuring delicate floral and feather motifs, topped with a red shawl. She carries a basket with a pet owl inside.

Hololive Council President Hakos Baelz wears a more stylized kimono designed by Mika Pikazo and cheated by Jujube. The outfit features intricate layered textures, wears Baelz’s hair, and adds a special mask and temari ball as accessories.

Artist Tohsaka Asagi and Soy designed Ceres Fauna’s floral kimono. Fauna’s hair has two braids, as well as woven flowers and an apron.

Ouro Kronii showed off another design from Arco “Wadarco” Wada, the character designer for Fate / Extra. Artist Keffiy also returns to sew his kimono. The outfit features Kronii’s hair in a high bun as well as clock gears and flowers. A large white snake named Ouroboros is a prominent design element on the sleeves and hem. She also holds a stylized clock fan.
