New ClimateTV video debuts ‘97% climate consensus’ – Is that acceptable?

A new poll of scientists conducted by Fairleigh Dickinson University found that only 59% of respondents think global climate change will cause “significant harm” to living conditions of people today”. That falls far short of the “97 percent consensus” narrative put forward by climate alarmists and their media allies around the globe.

The survey, conducted by Fairleigh Dickinson University in September and October 2022 and commissioned by the Heartland Institute, polls only experts and academics with at least a bachelor’s degree in the gas fields. meteorology, climate, physics, geology and hydrology.

The survey’s key question is: “In your opinion, what would be the overall impact of global climate change on the living conditions of people living today globally?” Fifty-nine percent said “significant harm.” Thirty-nine percent said “significant improvement”, “slight improvement”, “no change” or “mild damage”. Two percent uncertain.

Among the most experienced respondents – those at least 50 years old – less than half expect significant harm to those alive today. Scientists aged 30 and under were the only age group where more than 60% expected significant harm.
