The NBA All-Star Game MVP will receive a new trophy in the future.
On Thursday, the NBA announced the “Kobe Bryant Trophy,” which will be awarded the NBA All-Star Game MVP. The trophy has “complex details that have dual meaning, both for the NBA All-Star and Bryant’s legendary career.”
Among them: An eight-sided sole representing eight decades of the All-Star Games and Bryant’s number 8 jersey, the 24 first-tier stars representing each of the Game’s Stars, and the number 24 jersey of Bryant, and 10 stars in the second level to represent 10 All-Star starters and Bryant’s No. 10 American Basketball jersey.

In 2020, NBA commissioner Adam Silver announced that the All-Star Game MVP award would be permanently named after Bryant, who died in a tragic helicopter crash on January 26, 2020. .
