MLB 2024 Betting Odds: Shohei Ohtani, Aaron Judge on Track to Make History

Hitherto, Shohei Ohtani And Aaron Judge Both had memorable seasons.

Up to this point in his inaugural campaign with DodgersOhtani is worth every penny of his 10-year, $700 million contract. As of July 31, he ranks fifth in the league in batting average (.311), second in home runs (32) and sixth in home runs (76).

At the start of the season, Ohtani opened at +950 odds to win the NL MVP award—perhaps that had something to do with his lack of playing time this season—but since then, his odds have skyrocketed thanks to his dominance at the plate.

Currently, Ohtani is considered the brightest candidate for this award with odds of -550.

Remarkably, Judge could even have a better season. Sho Time.

As of July 31, Yankees The slugger led the league in home runs (39) and RBIs (99), and was third in the league in batting average (.319).

He is on pace to hit 58 home runs, which would be his third season with more than 50 home runs, a feat accomplished only by Babe Ruth, Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa and Alex Rodriguez.

He is currently the -900 favorite to win the AL MVP title.

Ohtani and Judge’s performances were so impressive that DraftKings Sportsbook offered odds on “Ohtani vs. Other Players” and “Judge vs. Other Players” for MVP honors in the NL and AL.

FanDuel Sportsbook also has an interesting prop bet to capitalize on these historic seasons by offering odds on each team winning the Triple Crown.

The Triple Crown — when a hitter leads the league in batting average, home runs and home runs — has only been achieved 18 times in MLB history. The only time both leagues had a Triple Crown winner was in 1933.

Yes: +1100 (bet $10 to win $120 total)
No: -4000 (bet $10 to win $10.25 total)

Aaron Judge hits MLB’s 39th homerun

In the NL, Ohtani currently leads in home runs and average, and is second in home runs batted in.

Meanwhile, as mentioned earlier, Judge currently leads all of baseball in home runs and RBIs. He’s third in the AL in batting average.

Can these two continue to rearrange the record books?
