Mitsubishi Triton 2022 price in Malaysia updated – all variants, revisions range from RM2k to RM3.8k

Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) has updated the Mitsubishi Triton prices for 2022, and all variants of the pickup have been revised up, as reflected by the listing on the company’s website.

UPDATE: The story has been updated with prices prior to the latest price adjustment, where the spread for the two variants (Athlete and AT Premium) was lower than previously reported. The previously quoted prices for these in the story are from the last time stated, which was from April 2021, when the Athlete variant was launched – this means that since then, there has been a fix change in its price, along with AT Premium , without our knowledge.

According to the company, the changes – such for Xpander – was brought about by what it called a “cost constraint”. Unsurprisingly, the cost of materials and logistics has increased a bit since Covid-19 and the Triton is an imported CBU model.

The Triton isn’t the only truck to receive a price adjustment this year – last month, all models in the Toyota Hilux range increase RM3,000 in their retail price. That for Triton varies, however, with revisions ranging from RM2,000 to RM3,800 for range variants, excluding the Quest variant, intended for commercial applications.

Currently, the Mitsubishi Triton range in Malaysia is available for the price (all on the road, no insurance):

  • Triton athlete – RM146,600
  • Triton AT Premium – RM126,900
  • Triton MT Premium – RM116,200
  • Triton AT – 107,990 RM
  • Triton MT – RM103,200

Previously, the Triton Athlete was priced at RM142,800, so the top model now costs an extra RM3,800. When it was Released in April 2021The Athlete is priced at RM141,500, meaning that in the year since its introduction, there has been a price correction of RM1,300 somewhere along the way.

For Triton AT Premium, this variant is up RM3,600 from the previous asking price of RM123,300. It sold for RM121,000 in April 2021, so its price has also been adjusted sometime in the past year.

While, Triton MT Premium is now RM2,900 higher than before (formerly RM113,300), while the Triton AT is RM2,000 higher (formerly RM105,990). Finally, there’s the Triton MT, which now costs RM3,000 more (formerly RM100,200). Finally, workhorse Triton Quest currently priced at RM81,390, an increase of RM1,500 from the previous RM79,890.
