Talk about a Christmas miracle! Honestly, 2021 is mostly bleak. But at least there are some good stories out of it that are making 2021’s ending a little more bearable.
For one Old Trafford family, they burst with joy when they received news that their beloved cat had finally been found after nine years!
Marley has been missing since 2012 when she broke off her harness during a walk and then disappeared. The family was heartbroken.
They search everywhere to find her, pasting missing cat posters and everything, hoping to find her eventually. Sadly, the days kept dragging, the weeks turned into months, then finally the years.
The family believes they will never see Marley again. However, nine years later, they receive an unexpected but long-awaited phone call. cat rescue, PawPurrs Halfway House located at Chorlton rescued their missing Marley.
According to a Facebook post by the shelter’s owner, Katie Hayes, a local man, noticed a small black cat straying in the area for three months. In the end, he was able to capture her, and then he did the right thing by moving her into the shelter.
Hayes then examined Marley for a microchip that displayed the family’s contact information. Needless to say, the family was shocked by the good news. Katie was so happy for the family, but was then surprised when the owner told them they thought the cat was dead because it went missing in 2012! However, the family is still overjoyed to learn that their Marley is finally home with them.
Marley was saved on December 19, which means she can get home in time for Christmas. We guess it was a merry Christmas in their family with Marley finally back. Although Marley has been gone for a while and will turn 20 next month, her family is still determined to make up for the lost time.
Talking about the miraculous rescue, Katie in the post, “I can’t believe it. I don’t know who is more shocked, her or me. They were absolutely delighted and shocked. Almost half of her life was lost. It must have been someone else feeding her and not the man who brought her to me. I can’t believe no one in the last ten years would think to test her chip. Heaven and earth where she’s been all this time. ”
Katie told Manchester Evening News, “The single most important basic necessity for being a responsible owner is microchiping your pets. Next up are neuters and vaccinate them. Also, if you have a stray, scan it for chips, because someone somewhere will miss them. It took 10 years to bring her home. I just hope she lives a little longer to appreciate the comforts of home with her family again – what a Christmas miracle! ”
