After Drop the ball with Solitaire merchandise, Microsoft has now done it right by Minesweeper with an “ugly” Christmas jump that turns one of the most iconic PC games of all time into a cube Christmas tree. For £58 (plus shipping) you can tell all your festival friends how little work you really did on PC in the 1990s. Not bad!

I took a look, and the numbers on the grid seem to be the same as a real Minesweeper game. It also has a user interface, with a score (well, five), a reset button, and minimize/enlarge/close buttons. I don’t wear fancy Christmas costumes myself, but it’s pretty.
Jumpers are now available in the Xbox Store for £57.95 (that’s £83.88 including tax and postage to the UK), although it’s already sold out in most sizes. A lot of people want to show their dedication this festive season.
In the spirit of giving, with that, Microsoft plans to donate $100,000 (£75k) to great outreach charity, AbleGamers. So great.
They also moved a few Christmas Minesweeper wallpapers into a zip file to use as Microsoft Teams camera wallpaper.
I love Christmas. The fun part of fall is over, daylight is basically non-existent, all the swimming and cycling that I live in is now frozen (and a dangerous tick), and about basically everything was cold and dark and miserable until April. Everything except Christmas. My lights came on a few weeks ago, I tasted half a new Christmas snack at Tesco, I’ve been watching Christmas movies since Halloween ended, and I even signed up for their streaming service. Hallmark Channel to get more (99p/month for the first three months, absolute steal). I used to be very skeptical of Christmas as a festival of commercialism but as it turns out, you can largely ignore that and just have a good time with colorful lights and memories. love with your closest and dearest ones. This jumper is not for me but if you want it go get it.
