McDonald’s replacement fast food chain in Russia announces new logo | World News
The fast-food chain that replaced McDonald’s in Russia has unveiled its new logo before restaurants reopen on Sunday.
The new branding includes a circle and two lines to depict a burger and fries on a green background.

The thread will work under the new unapproved name and also with the new menu name.
Possible options reportedly under consideration are said to include “Tot Samyi” – which means “same” – and “Svobodnaya Kassa”, which means available cash registers, according to The Moscow Times.
Russia’s state news agency TASS reported that the first 15 new restaurants will open in Moscow on June 12.
A Sistema spokesperson said: “The green background of the logo symbolizes the quality of products and services that our customers are familiar with.
“The logo will be used in the advertising campaign we’re launching today.”
McDonalds suspended operations of its stores in Russia on March 14 before announcing its withdrawal from Russia on May 16, making it one of the largest global brands to withdraw from the country.
Entrepreneur Alexander Govor, who already owns 25 restaurants in Siberia, has agreed to buy all 847 McDonald’s branches.
Mr. Govor has agreed to keep all of the company’s 62,000 Russian employees on equivalent terms for at least two years.
The sale, for an undisclosed amount, comes after McDonalds has been doing business in Russia for more than three decades.
