Riding Into History, the annual vintage motor show held in St. Augustine, Florida, honored Mary McGee as Grand Marshal for the 2023 event with the theme “Get Your Heart Racing – Competitive Motorcycles”.

McGee herself is no stranger to competition, having raced through the ’60s and ’70s and made it into the AMA Hall of Fame, the Trailblazer Hall of Fame and the Trailblazer Hall of Fame.

McGee started motor racing in 1960 to hone his motorsport skills. People were hesitant to let a woman take part in the race, but she was finally allowed to try to get her FIM license. Once she has passed the test, there is no going back.

As Grand Marshal of Riding Into History, McGee will join the Grand Marshal Tour and Grand Marshal Party, where attendees can hear her talk about racing as a woman in the sport. Riding into History 2023 will take place at World Golf Village near St. Augustine, Florida, April 14-15. The event attracts hundreds of vintage motorcycles and vintage cars on display around the lake in the heart of World Golf Village. Go In History is a non-profit organization and proceeds go to K9 for warriors to provide service dogs for disabled veterans. Spectator admission is $15 per person and there is no charge for program participants.
