Man risked his life to save dog from burning car
Peter Koska was on his way to work in Dedham, Massachusetts when he suddenly became a hero. As he was leaving, he spotted a burning car in the parking lot. The car was on fire, but there were still three dogs trapped inside. No one else came to the rescue, so Koska rushed to save them without hesitation.
By saving the dogs, Koska put her life in danger. He knew the car would explode at any moment, but he couldn’t let the dogs die alone. To him, saving dogs is unquestionable, and of course, any dog lover would agree.
A brave rescue
When Koska discovered the car was on fire, there was flames all over the hood. A nearby neighbor shouted, saying there were dogs trapped in the car. So Koska rushed to the burning car.
Luckily, the door wasn’t locked so he was able to open it for the dogs. The first two dogs were happy to jump out, but the third was terrified. He was in the car, barking. So Koska had to reach inside the car to pull the dog out.
Next, he tried to grab their leash from the car so the dogs wouldn’t run away. However, there was a small explosion in the car before he had a chance. It all happened just moments after the dogs were released. A scared dog runs away as soon as it hears a loud sound. Koska rushed in to catch the dog running away.
The owner of the car who was inside a nearby apartment building also heard the explosion. She was the dog walker who stepped inside to quickly pick up another dog. As soon as she heard the commotion, she rushed outside to make sure the dogs were okay.
Consequence
Firefighters quickly arrived at the scene to put out the fire. They say the fire is like starting at the front of the car and slowly receding to the rear. It could be due to a mechanical problem.
“My son has a dog that we love like family,” says Koska. “So I think those dogs have to be family to someone.”
The car did not survive the fire, but thankfully, all three dogs got out. Janice Davis, a dog walker, informed her clients of what had happened and they were all relieved to hear that no dogs were harmed. Davis is grateful for Koska’s acts of kindness. Without him, those dogs wouldn’t have survived. He is truly a hero.
