Malala Yousafzai, Nobel laureate and activist, gets married


“At the moment marks a valuable day in my life. Asser and I tied the knot to be companions for all times. We celebrated a small nikkah ceremony at dwelling in Birmingham with our households,” Yousafzai wrote in the caption.

“Please ship us your prayers. We’re excited to stroll collectively for the journey forward,” she added.

Her husband is Asser Malik, an operations supervisor for the Pakistan Cricket Board from the town of Lahore.

Yousafzai gained worldwide recognition for her activism towards the Taliban’s efforts to cease ladies from attending college.

When she was 15, she was shot within the head by a member of the Taliban and flown to the England to obtain therapy.

In 2014, she gained the Nobel Peace Prize on the age of 17, turning into the youngest laureate of the prize.

Final 12 months, she graduated from Oxford College with a level in Philosophy, Politics and Economics.
