Wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant was his peak form in the third ODI and final against England as he went on to play undefeated 125 knocks with just 113 balls assisted by 16 fours and two sixs. His first century ODI helped Team India chase the number 260 with 5 sticks in hand and 47 spare balls. This half was special above all else as he entered the match with India in a worrying position at 21/2 with both Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma returned to the hut.
Former Indian player Virender Sehwag took note of how Pant upped his game in the deciding matches, and he tweeted: “Last game of the series and @RishabhPant17 brilliant play – this is a better love story than twilight . Incredible innings from an incredible player – with great support from Hardik and Jadeja. #IndvsEng.”

It’s important to note that Pant has a knack for playing to his full potential in the series finale and all of his centuries in longest form came in the series finale. . He also went 89-match unbeaten at the famous Gabba Test, helping India win the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2-1 in 2020-21.
Speaking of third ODI against England, India is 72/4 chasing 260 and then Pant and Hardik Pandya form a stall of 133 runs for the fifth wicket.
Hardik lost his wicket after scoring 71 points but Pant remained undefeated on 125. His innings also included five consecutive touchlines in the 42nd round when he overcame bowling by David Willey.
Next, Pant will appear in the upcoming five-match T20I series against the West Indies, starting July 29.
