Live a Live Collector’s Edition includes a full board game
New Japan Direct Collector’s Edition offers three “Bs”: A Bot, Bag and Board Game. Now the remake has been teased for a long time of the classic SNES-era JRPG has finally arrived, Square Enix is expanding its marketing in earnest and starting with a physical version packed with extras.
Pre-orders for the pack are available on its Japanese Electronic Store. The bundle costs 22,000 yen (about $190), and buying it from the Square Enix e-Shop will also include a collectible sticker featuring pixel art and character designs from the game.
Besides the game itself, Direct Collector’s Edition includes the Model set of Titanium Steel (aka Buriki Daioh) and a white enamel tote bag with red trim and game logo decoration. A two-disc soundtrack is also included, with packaging featuring artwork by manga artist and character designer Kazuhiko Shimamoto. Shimamoto is responsible for manga series such as Brilliant transfer student and Aoi Honoo.
Final Direct Collector’s Edition comes with a Direct– themed board game. The game consists of a board and several pieces decorated with the art of different characters. Details on how to play the board game are not available, but it appears to involve cards representing attacks, with their zones of influence represented on the grid. The characters also seem to have their own cards with profiles to represent their various qualities.
Live one Direct launches on Nintendo Switch on July 22, 2022. Pre-orders for the Collector’s Edition are available on the Japanese e-store until July 22, 2022.
