Lil Peep’s mum says tour manager’s ‘dangerous’ behavior contributed to his death!!
Lil Peep’s mother is blaming his tour management company for helping fuel his drug habit and says they were partly to blame for his death.
The documents reveal that Lil Peep’s tour manager Belinda Mercer texted a colleague, “This was the most memorable experience of my life,” after she was detained at the Canadian border. after authorities found illegal substances in Peep’s bag and on a tour bus. She has only been with the company for a month.
Liza Womack sued the company over the death of her 21-year-old son. Peep, whose name is believed to be Gustav Åhr, after he died of a drug overdose on November 15, 2017.
According to Pitchfork, Peep’s management company, First Access Entertainment (FAE), and Mercer asked the judge to seal seven pages of documents, including Mercer’s text sent to FAE colleagues, alleging that they contained information private or self-incriminating.
Womack’s attorneys responded: “These seven pages help tell the story of drug-tainted mismanagement that is part of the law. [Womack’s] The story centers and leads to her son’s death. “They argued, ‘What these documents essentially contain are exchanges that reveal the FAE’s tour management is dangerous, discordant, incompetent and engaged in conduct that contributes to [Peep] the death of me. “
The judge ruled that the arguments “do not warrant sealing.” The sales agency said the case could change the way labels and management companies handle their artists.
