Lexus opens Tasmanian swish showroom, event space

It’s not enough for brands to just sell luxury cars, they also have to deliver luxurious experiences.

With that in mind, Lexus Australia has opened a luxurious new showroom, twice the size of an event space in downtown Hobart.

Located in the recently completed Rox Building and designed by Tassie Core Collective architects, it is billed as a ‘lifestyle hub unlike any other in Australia’.

Furnishings include polished concrete floors and Tasmanian oak on the walls, and all the furniture is designed and made there by local craftsmen.

Lexus says local artists will be able to exhibit their work, and the space can also be shared by community groups and local businesses.

Virtual showroom means you can configure and view a car using “audiovisual technology”.

The Lexus of Tasmania dealer will also provide a commercial kitchen that can be turned into a pop-up restaurant. This section was designed in consultation with local chef Luke Burgess.

The Lexus of Tasmania will be operated by Primewest Motor Holdings Group, which also operates the full-size Lexus of Perth dealership.

Lexus Australia CEO John Pappas called the venue “a pioneering luxury lifestyle space that showcases the cutting-edge luxury of Lexus and Lexus vehicles through cutting-edge design and craftsmanship. up”.

Mr Pappas added: “The new Lexus of Tasmania sales suite demonstrates Lexus’s commitment to customer service and contemporary style, with a distinctive Tasmanian identity.
