Lamborghini’s special Urus is only for Essenza SCV12 owners

Lamborghini has revealed a special edition Urus designed specifically for owners of the 2020 Essenza SC-V12 Edition.

Only 40 cars, alternately called Performante Special Edition and Essenza SCV12 Special Edition, will be produced for the 40 owners of the race-only Essenza SCV12.

The limited edition Urus Performante will receive aesthetic modifications, all of which are overseen and decided upon by Lamborghini’s Ad Personam department in collaboration with their respective owners.

There is a lot of carbon fiber detailing throughout the body and interior, notably on the bonnet, roof, swingarm and rearview mirror.

A range of custom body colors are available for owners to choose from, which combine with carbon fiber bodywork to create a two-tone color scheme accented by contrasting line detailing on the lower body and roof arch.

Race numbers are also painted on the front doors to continue the race-inspired motif.

All special editions will get 23-inch gloss black wheels and black brake calipers as standard, with other customization options available.

In the cabin, Nero Cosmus black Alcantara leather seats are combined with leather details and matte or glossy carbon fiber details depending on the preference of the owner.

Details including black anodized aluminum details, contrasting red door handles and the Essenza SCV12 logo adorning the stone panels all distinguish the special edition from the standard Performante.

Two carbon fiber panels will be fitted in the passenger compartment, one with the Lamborghini 60th Anniversary logo and one with the owner’s name or unique vehicle number.

Unfortunately, the special edition will not be equipped with the V12 engine as the name suggests.

Instead, it will have the Urus Performante’s standard 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, producing 490 kW (or 666 CV) and 850 Nm of torque, and mated to an automatic transmission. 8 levels.

Although not equal to the 619 kW capacity from Essenza’s V12 engine, the Urus Performante can still accelerate from 0-100 km / h in 3.3 seconds.

The race-only Essenza SCV12 is powered by Lamborghini’s most powerful naturally aspirated V12 engine and has a power-to-weight ratio of 1.66 hp/kg (1.24 kW/kg).

Lamborghini Urus SC-V12 Edition chief designer Mitja Borkert said: “The Lamborghini Urus SC-V12 Edition is the most expressive and detailed car we have ever created.

“The exterior color is directly linked to the exclusive color of the Essenza SC-V12 (owner).

“The result is a limited, unique, and colorful Urus series that takes the world by storm.”

All production units are planned and pricing is yet to be revealed by Lamborghini but we can expect it to be significantly lower than €2.2 million (AU$3.58 million). that the owner had to spend to get the Essenza SCV12.

This special edition Urus to accompany their racing supercar is not the only privilege for 40 very lucky customers of Essenza SCV12.

Back in 2020, all Essenza SCV12 owners were invited to join an “exclusive club”, giving them access to programs that let them drive their supercar on some of the iconic tracks. best in the world.

Owners also have the option of storing their vehicles in a personal garage with 24-hour supervision via a smartphone app in the Sant’Agata Bolognese hangar.
