Lamborghini is on track to achieve record sales for the year

Lamborghini sold its last non-hybrid V12 and was about to part ways with the naturally aspirated V10, but the change hasn’t hurt its sales.

With 7430 deliveries in the first nine months of 2022, the brand grew by 8.0% in the same period in 2021.

With the delivery of 8405 vehicles for the whole of 2021, its best year ever, Raging Bull is on track to its highest sales year ever.

Profits also increased by nearly 70 percent, driven by “average sales growth per vehicle (thanks to product mixes and increased customization), and favorable exchange rate trends.”

Huracan has seen massive growth compared to 2021, following the arrival of new Tecnica variant and implementation STO.

The future looks very different for Lamborghini, which recently took down its biggest bull.

Manufacturing Aventador is over after 11 years and a total of 11,465 cars were built. Based on built units, the Aventador is more successful than Countach, Diablo and Murcielago combined.

The supercar, which made its debut at the 2011 Geneva motor show, has spawned more than eight derivatives and more than 10 one-off or extremely limited editions over its lifetime.

What happens next is not 100% clear, but we know Successor of Aventador will have a new naturally aspirated V12 engine combined with a hybrid system.

According to Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann, the new V12 engine will sound “great”.

The Huracan will also be replaced in the coming years, but not before Sterrato riding a high horse come to say goodbye to it.
