Kyprios Denies Stradivarius, Trueshan at the Goodwood Cup
Kyprios prevail over Stradivarius, and Trueshan in an exciting Al Shaqab Goodwood Cup (G1) with all three stars staying on to do their best to win the closing stages before the Gold Cup (G1) winner triumphs.
Always racing forehand under Ryan Moore, Kyprios had a three-feathers lead from the finish, a point more notable was a big move made by Trueshan rider Hollie Doyle, who dashed past Stradivarius and hold him back to make room when he’s being herded out. attacked by racer Andrea Atzeni.
Losing ground and having to change direction as the tracks fell, Stradivarius struggled to win a fifth Goodwood Cup while Kyprios and Trueshan faced off in midfield.
After fending off Trueshan, Aidan O’Brien-trained Kyprios began to idle as Stradivarius dug inside, but his efforts weren’t enough to take down the new star that remained in Ballydoyle.
What a race, Irish driver Kyprios won his first Al Shaqab Goodwood Cup only when he turned down the legendary Stradivarius to Aidan O’Brien under great tutelage from Ryan Moore. @Q_REC @Ballydoyle pic.twitter.com/HkDJvc5Moo
