Omega Rugal is now available in KOF XV and a free addition to the cast, and more details on his new moves. On official Twitter account SNK, a commentary from Game Director Kaito Soranaka appears. It specifically goes through the character’s Vanishing Rush, Violent Ray, and Desperate Ray attacks.
First, there’s the Vanishing Rush. Which is also known as Banishing Rush in the official commentary. It’s an old boss attack that comes in light, heavy, and EX versions. Everyone behaves differently. Both the Light and EX versions can be used for combos, with the latter connecting after a powerful attack. With the heavy version designed “for continued pressure”.
Violent Ray is a Special ammo. In the commentary on the new three KOF XV Omega Rugal moves, it is described as an aerial counterattack ability.
Desperate Ray is Omega Rugal’s Super Special. Like Violet Ray, it is a ranged attack. However, it is an actual beam attack. The director’s comment suggested its use in conjunction with Violent Ray.
In addition to the details about Omega Rugal’s KOF XV move, there is a new video. It resulted in him taunting an unseen enemy.
