Kirby’s 30th Anniversary Music Festival Will Have Two Performances

Update [Thu 2nd June, 2022 09:30 BST] Well, looks like everyone wants a part of Kirby’s 30th birthday celebration!

HAL Labs shared an update on Twitter today that will delight many Kirby fans who have been yearning to attend the show in person. A Monday daytime performance, which will open at 11 a.m. JST and begin playing at 12:30 p.m. JST, is currently scheduled. A nice little lunchtime gala for those in Japan! (thanks to Robert Sephazon to translate on Twitter!)

This daytime show will not be streamed, but the evening performance – which opens at 4:30pm JST with an epic musical performance starting at 6pm JST – will still be live . So if you don’t live in Japan or can’t afford to attend either concert in person, you can still watch the show online!

If you want to participate in the day show on August 11th, you can enter the draw between today and June 8th and you will find out if you are lucky enough to win a ticket between today and June 8th. June 11-14 or not. Tickets will also go on sale from June 19. All details are available on the concert’s official website. right here.

The concert will be streamed on YouTube – details will be shared on Kirby’s official Twitter. However, the show starts pretty early for most of us around the world – 2am PDT / 5am EDT / 10am BST / 11am CET above August 11 – so it would be one for a cup of coffee rather than something more luxurious. The show will also be hosted for a limited time, so you’ll be able to watch it a little later in the day if you’re not a spring chicken or a night owl.

Original article [Mon 14th Mar, 2022 17:00 GMT] The 30th anniversary of the Kirby series is fast approaching, as is the release of the next game of the pink ball, Kirby and the Forgotten Land. And it looks like we’re going to have a big music festival to celebrate one of Nintendo’s most recognizable and cutest characters.

For a moment, we were ready to be disappointed. Nintendo UK shared Big opening from the chain’s 25th Anniversary concert. And, as good as that concert was, we thought that was all we were going to get. Luckily, just a little while later, the official Kirby account shared plans for the curvaceous guy’s next big celebration (thanks, Nibel).

Kirby’s 30th Anniversary Music Festival will be on August 11th and it will be streamed for free via Kirby’s official YouTube channel! Better than tomato max.

While we don’t know anything specific about the concert – such as price or airtime – official website have this to say:

To celebrate Kirby’s 30th anniversary, a one-off music festival will feature a big band in the style of 35 musicians performing in a variety of genres!

The event is a musical event in which you can enjoy original remixes of songs from previous titles in the series while reliving your memories with them. A large LED screen at the venue will also feature moving Kirby! We look forward to having an enjoyable festival together with everyone.

We hope to see you all at the online venue!

We imagine, along with some Kirby-sized classics, we’ll get to enjoy a few appetizers of Kirby and Forgotten Land songs to celebrate the new release.

Japan is also getting a little something extra. On April 15, the My Nintendo Store will release a collection of medals to celebrate all things Kirby. These show our smiling, pink friend doing all sorts of Kirby-related activities, such as sleeping, surfing the stars, and hovering. There’s even a medallion that is a nod to his earlier Game Boy design, with slightly more pointed hands.

We’re hoping these make their way west, otherwise we might need one of Kirby’s wands to make them a reality here. Or just need a good shipping budget.

Kirby celebrates its 30th anniversary on April 27, which is the Japanese release date of Kirby’s Dreamland. We wondered if we would have a year-long celebration. Even so, look at the fact that Nintendo doesn’t admit it Switch’s 5th birthdayor even do a lot for The Legend of Zelda35th Anniversary (although Skyward Sword HD and that Games & Watch already pretty neat!), maybe we shouldn’t expect too much.

Will you attend the concert? Are you planning to celebrate Kirby’s 30th anniversary? Let us know in the comments section!
