King Charles III’s coronation logo designed by iPhone designer


The official emblem for King Charles III’s coronation, scheduled for May 6, was unveiled by Buckingham Palace on Saturday, featuring a circular floral design by the renowned British designer. behind the iPhone designs created by Apple.


His Symbols Jony Ive, Who Formerly a Design Director at a technology company Apple and holds more than 14,000 patents worldwide, is from his creative collective “LoveFrom” and symbolizes the historic beginning of a new dynasty – dubbed the UK’s Carolean era.


It pays homage to the 74-year-old monarch’s love of the natural world, unifying the flora of the UK’s four countries – the rose of England, the thistle of Scotland, the daffodil of the UK. Wales and Northern Ireland’s shamrock grass.


“It is an honor to be able to contribute to this remarkable national occasion and our team is very proud of the work,” Ive said.


“The design is inspired by King Charles’ love of nature, the planet, and deep concern for the natural world.


The symbol speaks to the joyful optimism of spring and celebrates the beginning of this new Carolean era for the UK.


“The gentle modesty of these natural forms come together to define a symbol that acknowledges both the joyful and poignant importance of the occasion,” he said.


The flowers come together to form the Crown of St Edward, which the King will wear at the Coronation Ceremony scheduled to take place at Westminster Abbey in London on May 6.


The logo has been designed using the red, white and blue colors of the UK flag.


Buckingham Palace said the emblem will appear during Coronation celebrations in May, including the coronation at Westminster Abbey and the Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle, as well as national events , street parties and community gatherings.


The logo will also be used on all official merchandise commemorating the Coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla, as well as on digital channels and social media.


LoveFrom is a creative collective of designers, architects, musicians, filmmakers, writers, engineers and artists founded by Ive in 2019 and has studios in London and San Francisco. .


The Coronation logo they created will be available to use for all activities related to a series of events over the long anniversary weekend of May 6-8, including community events and national, publishing, retail and merchandising.
