Kia EV9 electric SUV revealed ahead of launch; Features a floating panoramic panel

Kia introduced the EV9 electric SUV concept earlier this year at Auto Expo 2023 taking place in New Delhi. The brand’s flagship EV SUV immediately attracts attention thanks to its modern design, aesthetic interior and new age technology used on the vehicle. Now, yesterday, March 15, the company finally perfected its first three-row electric flagship SUV. One of the main highlights of the EV9 includes the floating panoramic dashboard that extends from the steering wheel to the center of the vehicle. Check out the details.

The official Kia Worldwide Twitter account has posted about the EV9 electric SUV on its page and tweeted, “The Kia EV9 exudes bold style and refined elegance inside and out. Here to reshape the way we move.”

Interestingly, the production-ready EV SUV appears to be identical to the concept version of the car. The front of the car has a digital theme as it has a closed dashboard instead of the traditional grille. Even the headlights on car has a vertical orientation combined with the ‘Star Map’ daytime running lights.

The EV9 comes in both six- and seven-seat formats. As for the interior, it has an open and floating panoramic panel and dual 12.3-inch touchscreens that are meshed into a 5-inch segment display. The display has a navigation and telematics (AVNT) display. It also has hidden touch buttons that control a variety of functions such as heating and ventilation, start and stop, and quick navigation access.

The SUV is capable of fast charging at 350 KW to cover 100 km in just six minutes. It also comes with reverse charging from vehicle to load. The company claims that the EV9 will have a target range of 543 km and its battery capacity will be in the range of 100 kWh.

The Kia EV9 electric SUV alongside the EV6 has been on sale in India since November 2022. The company plans to launch another 13 EVs by 2027. Although the car’s price is yet to be announced, it is believed to be it will be the most expensive Kia model sold globally.
