When a tornado flattened the town of Mayfield, Kentucky, Joyce Guthrie was lucky to escape.
But Joyce’s two cats, Po and Zeus, weren’t so lucky. When Joyce returns home after the tornado passes, she finds her home destroyed by the storm and even worse – her beloved pets are missing. “I’ve had them for four years and they’re precious to me,” says Joyce WSIL News 3, a local news station.
But after three days of searching, Joyce finally found her orange tabby, Po, hiding underneath the neighbor’s flatbed house. The cat miraculously escaped the tornado without being physically harmed, although he was clearly shaken by the terrifying ordeal.
“Guys – miracles keep happening!!” Joyce’s daughter wrote on Facebook, where she is frantically posting about her mother’s missing cats. “One was found today!! Her Twice Rescued All-Orange Baby Is Now Back With My Mom!!! Joyce’s daughter wrote.

Now, the mother and daughter are hoping for a second miracle, because Zeus is still missing.
“Po was under that house and I hope Zeus too,” Joyce said WSIL News 3. “I was there doing ridiculous things, calling him and talking to him… but he was scared, very hurt.”
Joyce believes Zeus, a large orange and white cat, may have lost a bit of weight during this terrifying ordeal. “He’s nice, orange and white, quiet,” said the cat’s owner.
Joyce is desperate to find Zeus before she moves to Tennessee, probably because the Kentucky home where she lived with her cats was destroyed in the storm. “I’ve run out of my belongings and belongings, but I don’t care as long as I find my cats,” she told the station.
