Kelly Dodd says ‘Bravo should test better than Jennie Nguyen’
Former RHOC star Kelly Dodd said that Bravo should have researched Jennie Nguyen before casting her.
“Shouldn’t they have checked on Jennie better? Maybe so. But that’s up to them,” she said on “Rick and Kelly’s Unmasked.”
Kelly received comparisons to Jennie after Jennie’s old racist post surfaced online.
“Don’t lock me up with this chicken,” Kelly said. “I don’t know her and I have nothing to do with what she did or didn’t say. I don’t know if she was racist but I know I wasn’t!”
She added, “I know how it feels to be racist. I grew up Mexican on the west side of Phoenix with a very diverse group of friends, and I still have a very diverse group of friends.”
Jennie denied being racist after she was fired by Bravo.
“This is about Bravo and Andy Cohen, not me. This is their brand and their business. If they feel the need to fire her, that’s their decision. I don’t work for them anymore.” , Kelly said. “I did, and they fired me, and a lot of people thought they fired me for the wrong reasons but it was Bravo’s choice.”
