Keeneland Spring Encounter tickets on sale starting February 15


LEXINGTON, KY (January 26, 2022) – Keeneland announced today that tickets for the 2022 Spring Encounter, to be held from April 8 to 29, will go on sale to the public starting April 9. a.m. ET, Tuesday, February 15. Similar to last year, all General, Grandstand and Dining admission tickets must be pre-purchased online through Keeneland’s Official Online Ticketing Office at ticket.keeneland.com or on the Keeneland Race Day app.

Also on sale starting February 15 are Dining and General Admission tickets for the Kentucky Derby Day at Keeneland, on Saturday, May 7. Click here here for more information on ticket options and pricing.

The 15-day Spring Encounter offers races Wednesday through Sunday. Keeneland will be closed for racing on Easter Sunday, April 17. Posting time for the first race each day is 1pm except April 9 and April 29 when the first race takes place. at 12:30 pm

Book Spring Encounters: What to Know Before You Go

Registration for

· Plan ahead: Demand is expected to be high, so fans are encouraged to head to the Keeneland Official Online Ticket Office at ticket.keeneland.com in advance for details on ticket options, pricing and purchase process.

Ticket Purchase: Similar to Fall 2021 Meetup, all Dining, Grandstand, and General Admission tickets must be purchased online. Cash and cash purchases on race days will only be allowed at the Welcome Center Box Office window if inventory is still available.

General admission is $7 in advance; day tickets are $10. On high-traffic days, especially Saturdays, General Admission Tickets are likely to sell out, so patrons are encouraged to buy online in advance.

Season Tickets, which offer General Admission during the meeting, are available for $40. Free General Admission tickets are available to members of Keeneland Select, the track’s free online betting platform.

· Check availability during the meeting: Keeneland will continue to offer a return policy up to 48 hours prior to race day. Ticket inventory will be automatically updated and available for purchase at ticket.keeneland.com or the Keeneland Race Day app.

· Electronic Entry: For easy admission, tickets purchased online will be sent to your phone via email or text.

Daily Attendance Measures: Following the success of Fall Meet 2021, Keeneland will continue to limit daily attendance to approximately 20,000 fans to ensure the best possible racing experience for guests.

Tails on The Hill are available on Fridays and Saturdays

No ticketing or reservation is required for The Hill, Keeneland’s famous one-way street, which offers a unique way to experience Spring Encounter. On Fridays and Saturdays, fans on The Hill can get in on the racing action via Jumbotron and betting tents, while food carts and live music presented by The Burl create an atmosphere festive atmosphere.

Keeneland will award a record $7.7 million for 19 stakes made during the Spring Encounter. The schedule features increased wallets for all bets and significant changes to two historic classic bonuses of the season: Toyota Blue Grass (G2) Wallet for 3-year-olds on the first Saturday The season’s lead has been restored to $1 million and Ashland Central Bank (G1) for 3-year-olds has turned in the opening day of the meeting and is worth a record $600,000. They are among the nine holdings expected to attract the top 3-year-olds in the country.

The standout stake for older horses is Maker’s Mark Mile (G1) worth $600,000 at a mile on grass; $500,000 Madison (G1) on course 7 and $500,000 Jenny Wiley (G1) at 1/16 mile on grass.
