Golden Boy boxing returned to the DAZN wave on Thursday night when Jousce Gonzalez faced Jose Angulo in the main event of the “Fight Night Card” show that aired live from Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in California. 16-2 Angulo was the more active team in the first half of the scheduled 8th round. On the other hand, Gonzalez 12-0-1 proved a bit too patient. Gonzalez went after his elder with some positive results in the second, although Angulo seemed to be the one to throw more punches.
Gonzalez continued to pursue his man in season three. However, it was a left to the body in the center of the ring, which brought Angulo to the carpet. Painfully broken down, the man could not beat the count. “I saw a lot of things in the opening round,” Gonzalez said afterward. “I knew from the start he was going to abandon me.” It was an impressive performance for the 27-year-old. “I have proven a lot to myself,” he declared.
