Jason Anderson does it four times in a row with a Salt Lake win

Newly crowned champion Eli Tomac has decided to sit out the final round to focus on returning to full fitness for the upcoming outdoor season. Despite suffering a knee injury in round 14 of the championship in Atlanta, Tomac went on to claim his second first-place title one round early in front of a home-loving crowd in Atlanta. Denver just two weeks later. It was like a storybook ending to his historic debut season on the Yamaha YZ450F.
With just three weeks left before the start of the 2022 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, the 450MX Triple Champion will focus on rehabilitation to return 100% for the opening of the Pro Motocross season in Pala, California, on May 28.

Cooper Webb scored the winner and Marvin Musquin soon took a 1-2 KTM lead over Malcolm Stewaert, Benny Bloss and Justin Bogle while Justin Brayton finished sixth as he worked towards his 190th Main Event. to mark its part the year of certification is 2022.
Musquin challenged his teammate to take the lead with a minute left on the clock but pulled out to save a collision and then regrouped while looking for another chance. Musquin landed a successful pass on his third attempt to go through and win the Heat.
Malcolm Stewart then posed a challenge to snatch that second place away from Webb in the final round but Webb managed to keep him.
Brayton finished brilliantly to rise to fourth place ahead of Bloss and Bogle.

450 Heat Two
Newly crowned champion Eli Tomac went missing at the gate as he lay down to rest with an injured knee and restarted ahead of the opening match of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship 2022 later this month.
Jason Anderson scored the winning goal against Justin Barcia and Chase Sexton and went on to pull off an escape act.
Anderson took a good footing throughout the race and took a clear win over Barcia with Sexton finishing third ahead of Justin Starling and Kyle Chisholm.

450 Main Events
Justin Bogle had another hole-punch on Suzuki ahead of Cooper Webb and Jason Anderson as Chase Sexton and Justin Barcia gave chase.
Anderson overtook Bogle in round two and Sexon then quickly demoted Bogle to third, after which he fell into the clutches of Webb, Barcia and Stewart.
Anderson continued to lead Webb but five minutes into a battle for third place was fiercely contested by Barcia, Webb, Stewart and Musquin. Justin Brayton, 38, finished seventh this early in his 190th Main Event start.
Stewart ended up outperforming Webb in fourth and then went back to Barcia with ease but catching the GASGAS man was one thing, overtaking him was another… it took Stewart a few minutes to do. that and he wanted the speed to get out but Barcia stabbed him right in the hip on the next tight left serve leaving Stewart on the deck. Webb and Musquin also had a small argument at the halfway point of this race. (See more featured videos on this page)
Halfway through, Anderson led Sexton by four seconds, who in turn had six seconds ahead of Barcia. Musquin was fourth and Stewart regrouped and overtook Webb.
Stewart’s next target is Musquin and he overtook the KTM man to fall back to fourth. The next target, Justin Barcia in some payback period, and fans are cheering him on towards that goal… Stewart despite having five seconds to make up for his return to Bam Bam relationships, and just over seven minutes to do it. With three minutes to run Stewart halved that for third-placed Barcia, under three seconds and a big target on Barcia’s back was now within Stewart’s sights, and the crowd loved it…
Traffic was restricted causing Barcia not to support and one minute later the gap was 1.5 seconds… Both were spinning the engine as they closed the door on the lawn to let them know they were coming…
Up front, Anderson was the clear leader, and Sexton a second safe, but all eyes were on the Barcia vs Stewart battle that was about to unfold…
With two laps, the gap is now down to a second as Stewart closes in on Barcia, the Salt Lake City crowd eating bananas…
On the final lap, Stewart almost tried to jump into a challenging position but didn’t get close enough, then he was blocked by a lapper causing him to run out of time to do another challenge. Barcia was booed as he crossed the line.
Jason Anderson stopped to celebrate his win and acknowledged the crowd, but they were in no mood to celebrate as they continued to taunt Barcia to protest his previous work on Stewart.
With that win, Anderson trailed champion Tomac by nine points and ended his season with an unbelievable four straight wins. Anderson won seven Mains during the season, the same number as champion Tomac.
While Barcia finished ahead of Stewart on the track, it was driver Husqvarna who took third place in the championship, two points ahead of Barcia.
The audience cheered loudly as Stewart was presented with a medal in third place for the championship as he was clearly the fan favorite tonight following his comeback from Barcia’s collision . In contrast, every time the screen showed Barcia, the crowd jeered and shouted loudly.
Marvin Musquin finished fifth in the final race and fifth in the championship ahead of Chase Sexton. Honda took second place in that final round to end the season on a high before Pro Motocross even started.
2021 champion Cooper Webb completed his title defense with a somewhat disappointing seventh place in the championship.
Justin Brayton finished Main in seventh place to begin a fantastic and long career in Supercross with ninth place in the 2022 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship. 170 top finishes out of 190. That started Brayton on a long and distinguished record.
At the end of their career is (450 rookie of the year)
Topping the final manufacturer score chart, calculated on a combined basis of 250 and 450 results, is Honda five points ahead of Yamaha.
