The January transfer window is only heating up, with teams identifying gaps in their rosters and needs based on positions across their board.
Major clubs across Europe, including Barcelona, Manchester United, Arsenal, PSG, Real Madrid, Juventus, and more, could all be looking for reinforcements this winter. Other clubs with new spending power such as Newcastle are expected to participate strongly, while Celtic, Napoli, Roma, Tottenham and Marseille are also said to be looking to improve on the existing squad.

11:18 a.m. ET: According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham have decided to sell Steven Bergwijn this winter, and Dutch side Ajax seem to be the most interested party. Dutch journalists are also confirming the story.

Lucas Digne from Everton to Villa has not progressed as has been suggested. Villa have interest and Steven Gerrard is an admirer but they have yet to place any bids and Digne’s salary could still be an issue. Lots in Villa’s sights but not a deal done by any stage yet.

Celtic working to sign young player permanently
4:32 a.m. ET: According to transfer journalist Ekrem Konur, Celtic are working to sign a long-term contract with 22-year-old Jota. Jota has joined Celtic on loan from Porto since the summer, and with eight goals and six assists in all competitions, he has enjoyed life with the Scottish giants.
