Jaeger-LeCoultre expands Polaris . date dial options

Jaeger-LeCoultre adds a dark green dial option to its Polaris Date collection.

The new color, due out in May, has a unique echo of the colors of the deep sea, where the original Memovox Big Dipperthe forerunner of this watch, made for discovery when Jaeger-LeCoultre introduced it in 1968.

Although the 42mm version of this popular dive model was first seen in 2018, it retains all of the same design cues as the original model, especially the removable inner bezel, which has been retained. controlled by the crown at 2 o’clock and the white markers.

For this new version, Jaeger-LeCoultre combines opaline, grainy and sunray surfaces, each defining a key dial segment. You’ll see a color gradient that ranges from light olive to darker rainforest green, depending on the available light. The watchmaker’s renowned artisans then apply a matte lacquer to add depth to the dial.

The retro-style box crystal-protected dial and clear sapphire caseback reveal Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Caliber 899, an automatic movement with an impressive 70-hour power reserve. Water resistance is 200 meters.

Jaeger-LeCoultre is matching the new green dial watch Polaris Day with a green rubber strap equipped with a quick change system. The clock is one Boutique version. Price: $9,200.
