Where there was once an app that made photo sharing a priority, making it an invaluable tool for networking and connecting with potential customers, now there’s a feed full of videos. , ads and of course the scary algorithm. This has led many photographers to look for an alternative, with one of the current frontrunners being Vero. Is it worth investing time and effort into it? This photographer used it for 30 days to answer that question.

Undoubtedly, it is becoming increasingly clear that Instagram is no longer worth the investment of many photographers, but the problem with most alternatives is simply inertia. There have been plenty of apps with better interfaces, higher quality images, more features, but none have had as massive a user base as Instagram, making it a hard sell for the savvy.
