  • Road blocking is a tactic largely used in the UK, where protesters have disrupted traffic to sound the alarm about climate change.
  • Their website and claim compares the climate threat to Hitler’s Nazi regime in pre-World War II Germany
  • People who tried to get to work on Friday mornings that were seen on the video did not exactly feel unity
  • One commuter finally got out of his car and threatened, ‘Move before I pull out my gun’

A video of the incident;

Thankfully, DC police arrived within half an hour to arrest the climate protesters, before they were injured.

I think this incident poses an important problem. I don’t condone violence, but the people who block the way are harming themselves.

I remember one time a relative had to rush to take her son to the hospital when her son had an asthma attack and stopped breathing. Step into metal all the way. She stopped once, briefly, for the police, and they gave her an escort. The boy was saved – only – but only seconds after death when they reached the hospital.

Sometimes people really need to get where they’re going. I can’t imagine my relative would slow down because of a bunch of climate protestors, with her son’s life hanging in the balance she would drive past them, if they don’t give way. She’s not a violent person, there’s bound to be tears when she does.
