Imaginary week 12 abandonment shows: Cam Newton returns, Marquez Valdes-Scantling breaks through with Pack

You won’t be surprised by Top Week 12 Free Pick Up And More Free Agents, we’ll just let you know that first. That’s not necessarily a bad thing as it means there aren’t many major injuries, at least when running backwards. However, if you need some reinforcements to head into a rough week in some locations, then you’ll mostly need to rely on streamers. People who like to sleep at the end of the season, such as Orange Newton, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and Adam Trautman , won’t excite you too much.

Fortunately, ours full free agent list There are many recommendations for specific Week 12 streamers at QB, WR, TE, and D/ST. We also have some potential substitutes, such as Rex Burkhead, DeAndre Carter, and Jamison Crowder. Again, the string isn’t strong this week and depending on the size/competitiveness of your league, it could get pretty picky. Unless we have more injuries or teams start to introduce certain players at the end of the year, things will continue to be quite difficult. Week 12 streamers can be found at the end of this list.

Unless someone else isn’t supposed to be floating around your relinquishment cord, this is not the week to use a waiver request. Maybe you’re a Patrick Mahomes owner in need of a spare QB, but using a high demand on Newton or another quarterback is not the best use of resources. That said, if you’re desperate in a certain position and desperately need to win, then you can justify it. If not, continue to look at the injury reports and see if the situation develops into a more appealing pickup.

Top fantasy football exemptions for Week 12

Unless otherwise noted, only players who own less than 50% of Yahoo leagues will be considered.

Cam Newton, QB, Panthers. Newton told us he was back last week and he drove that spot home on his first start. Taking advantage of a highly favorable position, Newton completed 21 of 27 189-yard passes and two TDs, while also adding 46 yards and one TD on the ground. It’s a classic Newton line and if he continues to complete passes at a high percentage and run for more than 40 yards, Newton will be a QB1 frontier per week. Again, this is a favorable match, so things are not always “easy” like this, but Newton should also continue to feel more comfortable in the game against the Panthers. He could be even better against Miami next week.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling, WR, The Packer. Allen Lazard’s absence (shoulder) certainly opened up more goals for MVS, who had the upper hand with four catches of 10 high, 123 yards and a teammate’s TD. More efficiency would be great, but MVS’s ability to play big will pay off even if he’s not often targeted. With such a workload, he is sure to produce. Next week’s game against the Rams will be tough, but MVS could actually achieve more if Jalen Ramsey leaves Davante Adams empty for the whole game.

Adam Trautman, TE, Saints. Trautman was a popular pre-season sleepy gamer, but after disappearing at the start of the season, many people lost interest in big TE. That will change after his fourth straight game with at least six goals. His Week 11 performance was his best, as he ended a season high with five season-high eight-goal catches, 58 yards and his first score of the year. Obviously, Trevor Siemian has found something he likes, and Trautman will continue to be a popular target in a tough game against Buffalo next week.

Cedrick Wilson, WR, Cowboy. Wilson didn’t do much in Week 11 (4-36 with seven goals), but with Amari Cooper (COVID) and CeeDee Lamb (concussion) could be “suspicious”, at best, for a Tuesday afternoon game Five with the Raiders, Wilson could be the Cowboys’ No. 2 receiver. That gives him potential WR3/flex value and we know he can make big plays when given the chance.

Rex Burkhead, RB, Texan. Against Tennessee, Burkhead charged 18 times. He only scored 40 yards, but the many efforts will leave you in awe. If he can control this backcourt at some point, we know he has some advantage thanks to his receptivity. In the end, he won’t have a high ceiling, but he’s worth taking as a rider if you’re hurting in RB. Houston joins the Jets in Week 12, who have given up the most imaginary points per game for the spot.
