I Work At A Thrift Store — People Are Throwing These 5 Things

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been in an extreme state of clean wardrobe. Living in a small apartment in New York City is never easy when you are a shopaholic and I have reached my limit. I have a hard time letting go of things I once loved or never had to wear, so this has led to numerous self-interventions. My first round cleaning out my closet very light, and I quickly realized I was going too easy on myself as I still didn’t have room for the winter coats that I would have to move in sooner rather than later. This whole conundrum has me visiting my local consignment store more often than ever.

During one of my recent appointments, one of the store managers explained to me the process of deciding if they can sell something or ask customers to take it home with them. As team members explained their process to me, I realized that this was something worth reporting. Our most recent conversation includes revealing revelations, such as the death of Yeezys, and the obvious fact that a lot of skinny jeans were phased out later this year. Below, you’ll find five things Buffalo Exchange employees told me as they walked through the point of sale and into the donation box. See if you can guess what they say.
