‘I Still Wanna Whoop That A**!’

Heavyweight Deontay Wilder has spoken out about a potential fight with British star Anthony Joshua, and it’s clear that no love has been lost from an American point of view.

When asked about his feelings about the possibility of clashing with AJ on Showtime’s The Last Stand podcastThe ‘Bronze Bomber’ said that although the transatlantic battle was not his immediate radar, the fight was one of concern for the downline.

“We will see what happens, the future is bright. I am willing and able to anyone and everyone in the heavyweight division. “

“I still want to hit that** again!”

Wilder and Joshua engaged in lengthy negotiations for an undisputed bout back in 2018 when they both held all four major heavyweight titles. However, these eventually turned sour in the public eye and accusations of avoidance from both sides soon emerged.

Former WBC world champion Wilder also looks back on this time period, and it’s clear this wasn’t water under the bridge just for the Alabama men.

“Like the saying goes, I may not remember your name but I will never forget how you made me feel.

When we tried to make that fight happen, they ran away from us.

I’m not pretending – people can believe what they want. “

As if teasing the fight between Joshua and Wilder, all the focus is on right now AJ has the potential to take on all the British with Tyson Furywhile Wilder faces Robert Helenius in battle again next month.
