Hyundai surprised us two years ago. when it revealed the N Vision 74This retrofuturistic coupe is gorgeous and we want to put it into production as soon as possible. Of course, it’s just a concept, but we want it to be a real car that you can actually buy. Then we heard rumors that it actually is. will go into production. Then Hyundai has quashed those rumors.. Then we heard It will be built in small quantities.. However, it now appears that Hyundai has officially confirmed plans to produce the N Vision 74.
Motor1 reports The news was first reported as part of Hyundai’s annual CEO and Investor Day presentation on a slide highlighting the Korean automaker’s plans to introduce 21 new models by 2030. Under the section titled “High-Performance Electric Vehicles,” you can clearly see “Hyundai N (vision 74)” listed alongside “Genesis Magma.” So unless Hyundai is trolling us, it’s time to start saving up for that awesome production N Vision 74.
Unfortunately for us, production details are still scarce. We don’t know when it will launch, how much it will cost, or how much power it will have. It’s likely to look the same, but some things will have to change for production. We also don’t know if it will still be a hydrogen-powered hybrid, or if Hyundai will ditch the hydrogen setup in favor of an all-electric vehicle that’s easier to refuel.
If the earlier rumors are true, and they’re highly unlikely, the N Vision 74 will be extremely rare—Hyundai will reportedly only build 70 units for the world, along with 30 race cars. While it’s understandable that Hyundai would want to avoid taking too much risk when introducing what will essentially be a flashy car, it would also be incredibly disappointing for the N Vision 74. People love cars, Hyundai. Let people buy cars!
