How To Take Photos Outside of Cars But Make It Look Like In The Studio

Car photography is fun and can be very dynamic, but it is one of the most difficult products to capture in a studio environment. Not only do you need a large studio to be able to drive a car in, but you also need large lights to evenly illuminate the vehicle. Or is it you?

Many readers won’t believe that I love cars and that automotive photography is something I’m interested in, even though I don’t often pursue a specialty. Any shot you want to do with a vehicle – panning, rig, stationary – there’s a lot to consider. While natural light is essential for car photography, if you want to capture it in a still position and present it in the best possible way, then artificial light is very useful. But, the problem of shooting in the studio, on an infinity white background is still difficult and expensive.

Well, in this video, Geoff Dennis teamed up with Moe Zainal to show how he created the studio look in Adobe Photoshop. By combining nighttime photography, light painting, and some clever Photoshoppery, Dennis was able to turn a dark image of a car into a clean yet dramatic studio photo. While I know it’s possible to cover my face and spend a lot of time tweaking the car to suit the studio setting after posting, I haven’t thought about using light-painting to mimic the effects of the light. studio morning.
