Step 1: Visit Adobe’s website
In your internet browser, follow this link to Adobe.com. It will take you to a landing page for a free trial of Photoshop. Then, click the blue button labeled “Start Free Trial”.
Step 2: Choose your package
You will now be prompted to choose which plan you want to test and potentially purchase. Adobe provides three packs for you to choose from.
Photoshop Packs
The Photoshop plan is the most basic option and includes access to the service through your desktop, tablet or mobile device, Adobe Fresco (including fonts), step-by-step instructions, and 100GB of cloud storage. Once you download and try it for free, it turns into a $20.99/month subscription.
Photography package
If you are a lover of photography and photo editing, you may want to try the Photography package which includes Photoshop and Light room for desktop and mobile and also has Adobe Fonts and step-by-step instructions. Note that this option only has 20GB of cloud storage but is less expensive at $9.99 per month after trial.
All Creative Cloud Apps Bundle
If you’re looking for a full experience across all Adobe Creative Cloud platforms (over 20 apps including Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Express, Premiere Pro, and Acrobat Pro), this might be the best choice for you. All-in-one plan Includes 100GB of cloud storage and is worth $54.99 per month after trial.
Out of the three, I recommend the Photography package, especially if you’re a beginner. This pack gives you a chance to play and get acquainted with Lightroom and Photoshop, and see how they can work side-by-side.
Once you’ve selected your trial plan, select the “Continue” button at the bottom of the screen.
Step 3: Payment
You might be asking now, “Wait, why is Adobe asking for my credit card?”. Remember that since this is the free trial you’re signing up for, you’ll automatically be charged monthly or annually (prepaid or paid monthly) when it expires.
When you’re ready to pay, you’ll see a “Due Now” note at the bottom of your receipt for $0.00.

How to cancel your free trial
If you decide at the end of your seven days that the Photoshop experience is not suitable, you can cancel the free trial to avoid any additional fees. Here’s how to do it:
Step 1: Sign in to your Adobe account
First, log in Adobe account using the login information associated with your trial order. If you don’t remember your login information, try searching your primary emails for order receipts.
Step 2: Go to the “Plans and Payments” tab
At the top of the website, select the “Plans and Billing” tab. A drop-down menu will appear and you’ll see a button that says “Manage Plans”. Click the button and then select “Cancel your plan”. Adobe will ask you the reason for the cancellation, but feedback is completely optional.
If you don’t see the “Cancel your plan” option, contact your Adobe customer reseller for assistance.
If you also want to access Photoshop from your mobile device and edit on the go, download the Photoshop app from the App store and sign in with your credentials. The app will recognize your account and sync your projects, so you can work from anywhere.
