How Noah Cyrus’s new song sheds light on her parents’ breakup

Noah Cyrus will break our broken, broken hearts.

The hardest part of Noah the upcoming album could be a new song that she says is inspired by her parents Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus‘ divorce. The track titled “Every Beginning Ends” is a heartbreaking country ballad about two lovers whose love stories have run out. Noah duet with Death Cab for Cutie‘S Benjamin Gibbard as the two take turns singing verses about bittersweet memories.

Noah says in the song on August 26, “You used to kiss me for no reason,” and Benjamin replies, “No one makes me laugh like you do.”

The couple confessed together, “You have to wake up every morning and choose to love someone, but I find it harder when I stop loving you.” And in the chorus, Noah adds, “We had a good time, didn’t we? It’s over now for you.”

Noah said in a press release that writing the song with Benjamin helped her “understand more” about relationships.
