It’s officially been 20 years since the release of everyone’s favorite Disney Channel cartoon, Kim can. (And Yes, we also feel antiquated.) In honor of the show’s milestone, E! News spoke to Christy — who stars as a crime-fighting protégé throughout Bob Schooley and Mark McCorkle-created the five-year series from 2002 to 2007 — and discussed how she inspired so many of Kim’s traits.
“Bob and Mark drew inspiration from me many times when I voiced Kim and they were developing her as a real teenage girl,” Christy said. “They’re really good at trying to get my point across.”
She continued, “They asked me once, ‘Where do you shop? Where is your favorite place?’ and at the time, it was Club Monaco. So they decided to put her at Club Banana.”
