The Palace of Westminster is in disrepair and in urgent need of basic repairs, according to the Houses of Parliament Restoration and Renewal Program.
With a multitude of problems including rubble, cracked ceilings and warped windows, essential work is being planned for this iconic home of British democracy.
But recent research has pointed to a skills shortage in the heritage sector, especially for jobs such as bricklayers, woodworkers and roofing.
Restoration and Innovation bosses have visited the College of Handicrafts in Stratford, east London, to hunt for new talent to help save the historic palace.
