Honda launches a range of dog accessories for the Civic and CR-V



What started as a friendly April Fool’s joke has turned into a line of accessories for dog owners who drive Hondas across the pond. The company unveiled a range of dog-related accessories including rubber mats designed to fit civic and CR-Vamong other models.

Announced on International Dog Day, these accessories aim to make traveling with dogs safer and cleaner. The category includes rubber boot and floor mats, trunk panels and bumper guards to ensure your dog doesn’t leave a scratch when climbing into the trunk. Honda’s The British division designed these parts for mixture and non-hybrid variants of civic, CR-V, HR-VAT (not the same model we come to usa) and Jazzthe city-sized hatchback replaced suitability sold on our market in the 2010s.

Not every accessory fits every model; e.g. the bumper guard is only compatible with CR-V. And, some parts fit older models.

Prices for the full accessory package range from £530 for the non-hybrid Civic to £810 for the CR-V, the numbers are around $630 and $960, respectively, at current conversion rates. There is no word yet if our well-behaved dogs by the pond will be riding on Honda-designed trunk pads.
