A dilapidated Pit Bull was rescued from a shelter and adopted by a wonderful foster family. She was so thin that she couldn’t walk on her own. Her adopters named her Khaleesi. They know to feed her as often as possible. Thankfully, the food motivated her to walk. After all, she was starving!
“Bribing” Khaleesi with food worked wonders. Eventually, she was able to climb stairs and even keep up with her brother, Sonny. The budding sibling relationship transformed the ailing dog. Sonny weighs 70 pounds and can obviously hold his own but he’s very gentle with Khaleesi. Incredibly, if Khaleesi ran out of breath and had to lie down, so did Sonny. He played with her at her speed.
As Sonny and Khaleesi continued to play, her body got stronger, especially when they wrestled and played tug of war. And of course, as they played and Khaleesi’s personality grew, her adoptive parents grew even more attached to her. What follows is incredibly heartwarming!
